Maintaining good vaginal health is essential for every woman. One common concern that many women face is the presence of an unpleasant odour down there. While a little smell in the vagina is normal, it can be uncomfortable and concerning when it becomes too strong or fishy.
A lot of women have complained about a smell that they have that they cannot describe. Those that can explain it say that the smell is like raw meat that is going off or a constant smelly fish that makes them uncomfortable alone or even more when they are with people. This has also put a lot of women off having sex and they, themselves can smell it and feel like it puts their partner off too.
It's understandable to feel a little self-conscious or worried when you notice an odour that you haven't experienced before. Please know that you're not alone in this, and there are many people out there who are going through the same thing
I remember a friend of mine once asking me to smell her because she was not sure if people could smell her. When she described it, she said that she had just stopped her periods and it has been 3 days since she started having a smelly brown discharge that she could not explain. She said that when she sat down, or opened her legs the smell became more pungent. I could see she was withdrawn, this was not the friend I knew.
What could the cause of this be?
Possible causes are:
✔ The most common explanation for an unpleasant vaginal odour is an infection called bacterial vaginosis (BV), which produces a fishy smell. The normally acidic vagina becomes overgrown with bacteria, making it become more alkaline. In addition to the fishy odour, women can also experience itching, irritation and a yellowish/creamy discharge. Some women are unfortunately prone to frequent bacterial vaginosis infections while others are fortunate enough never to have any infections.
✔ An infection such as trichomonas, which is a sexually transmitted infection (STI), can cause your vagina to have an odour. This infection usually produces a fishy smell.

90% of ladies who have come to me for assistance with this issue, have previously been to the Dr and the infection kept recurring and the same treatment prescribed and in other cases the matter became even worse. This is before they came to me for help.
It's important to note that experiencing a fishy odor does not necessarily mean there is an infection or serious health concern. However, if the odour is persistent and accompanied by itching, burning, or discharge, it's important to seek some help.
I recommend the Cleanse and Nurture combo with the yoni soap to help you restore things back to normal and have you gaining your confidence back.
